Has anybody received a ransom note yet?Mark Bonatuccihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04028759195766716450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14971098.post-58597780020202172442011-12-14T14:57:52.798-05:002011-12-14T14:57:52.798-05:00TV would have had a difficult time stopping a beac...TV would have had a difficult time stopping a beach ball last night...props on the "if only someone on the Caps had a pair comment." I will go Charlie Brown on this one: Good Grief.Doug B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16782408742184452212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14971098.post-17118734238742038482011-12-14T12:11:27.895-05:002011-12-14T12:11:27.895-05:00Vokoun is awful. Even when he was making stops he was behind the net as often as in front of it, but the flyers didn't put their goals in when he gave them an open net, they put them in through him like he was a limp noodle. The first goal is inexcusable on so many levels. It was a low slow shot from the point with no screen and TV didn't even try to go into the butterfly to stop it.

It wouldn't be such a big deal to let in one softie if the team continued to play like they had in the first. While they didn't put many shots on goal (I don't know what Semin was thinking on the PP...he managed to dance around the entire flyers team twice and not accomplish anything with the possession) they had extended O zone time. The second period they gave up and the third it was too little too late. When the team is struggling they can't have a liability in net. In the past Neuvy and Varly were pretty tough and stole many games that the caps probably shouldn't have won. Vokoun is handing games over (Neuvy is looking shaky too, compared to last year, but he's still a little green). Every single goal he let in was easily stoppable. While Bryzgalov didn't look great to start the year, Vokoun is no answer, he's more like our biggest question right now.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
