Who do you choose to go into the season with (if either one at all)? You could make an argument for giving Carlson some time in the NHL at the beginning of the season simply because he has a more cap friendly salary. This gives the Caps a little more flexibility and I don't think Alzner would be harmed by more AHL experience, especially becasue of he is not far removed from a serious concussion. I think giving Carlson a cup of coffee in the NHL is probably more beneficial than having Alzner stay for a short period of time.<br /><br />wilburAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14971098.post-90773183839299649212009-09-10T10:19:14.206-04:002009-09-10T10:19:14.206-04:00"...Alzner (who seems to have fallen into som..."...Alzner (who seems to have fallen into some level of disfavor relative to Carlson in some pockets of Caps Nation)..."<br /><br />This meme is a product of the willingness of bloggers/journos paying to much attention to fans and message-board dilettantes who don't know jack, or to OFB, which knows even less.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14971098.post-53566947309158904792009-09-10T10:18:04.509-04:002009-09-10T10:18:04.509-04:00Wow - nice article.
