One intere...Interesting stuff as always, Peerless.

One interesting stat I've noticed is Alex Ovechkin's production vs. Zbynek Michalek and Pittsburgh this year. 3 games 0 goals, 0 assists. I'm the last person who needs to say here what kind of frustrations Ovechkin has had this season, but the change is pretty staggering considering his past. He went 7 goals, 3 assists in the last season series versus the Pens, and 4g, 2a the season before and 3g, 3a the year before that...This year has been quite different (so far).

Of course, the Winter Classic "game" is rough to judge anyone on those conditions, and Ovechkin has looked dangerous at times, as he always does. The glimmer of hope for Pens fans though (especially with a potential playoff meeting) is that Michalek/Paul Martin continue to keep #8 off the board. He's always more than gotten his against Pittsburgh.jrix68https://www.blogger.com/profile/15491746189542881986noreply@blogger.com
