The thing that has shown more and more through this streak is not just the defense but the puck possession and domination in the third period. This team is built to wear down opponents. And can you imagine have a "better defense" have to face this offense over the course of a seven game series? The offense takes a load off the defense.Insanitynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14971098.post-57670435454923525302010-02-09T14:17:55.639-05:002010-02-09T14:17:55.639-05:00A third observation, if I may -- as a THN subscrib...A third observation, if I may -- as a THN subscriber I read Ken Campbell's column from time to time. I find him to be unimaginative, biased and at times blatantly stupid, as when he defended Avery's grossly offensive, microphoned remark about a former female acquaintance. His 2-part video interview with Ovi also showed him to be lacking in creativity, asking the same questions and comments that bored us many times already. I put little store in anything Campbell says, and won't until he proves himself worthy of notice -- perhaps when he wins a Cup. Then, I'll think about it.Flying Cloudnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14971098.post-6350457806337859312010-02-09T13:41:09.200-05:002010-02-09T13:41:09.200-05:00Spot on Peerless. Then, the Caps will have to do it again.

I don't think one Cup will be enough to take care of the talking heads. Two might do it, though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14971098.post-71366464428717143352010-02-09T13:02:44.148-05:002010-02-09T13:02:44.148-05:00Great read, Peerless!
