Bruins are my pick for the East. They just have more depth throughout the line-up. The caps were very lucky to have survived the second period of the 3-1 win. They are scary good.
Looking at their schedule, no one's gonna catch these guys. Even though most of their current win streak has come at the expense of the SouthLeast Division, they're done with their west coast road swings it appears. If they've compiled THIS record already, they probably won't be slowing down or swooning the way they've done in the past unless Montreal, Ottawa and Buffalo all find their Big Boy Pants - and quickly. This almost makes it imperative that the Capitals win their division to avoid an early round playoff matchup with this sudden juggernaut. Maybe the Flyers, Devils or Pens will get lucky and knock them out for us before we face them in the conference finals?
That's... awesome for both teams :)
