A Quirk of Scheduling

You might have noted, or perhaps you have not...as of this morning, no Eastern Conference team has played fewer games against Eastern Conference teams than have the Caps. That means the Caps will have a larger share of games against Eastern Conference teams over their last 56 games.

Having said that, it's worth noting that while the Caps are 5-6-0 against Western Conference clubs, they are 9-3-3 against the East. And, they have a 4-0-2 record against what some think is the toughest division in the league, the Atlantic.

Just a thought...

Along those lines, it's worth noting that (if I'm not mistaken) the Caps play only one more game outside the Eastern time zone, and that's in Nashville, which is just one hour behind.
