It's once and always Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals hockey, all day, all night, all the time . . . or when I get around to it
Atlanta takes the 8th spot in the conference. Write it down.
Peerless - I think Atlana will be competative this year as will Tampa, the question mark to me is Florida - I think they'll be there but a lot of nights they'll need Vokoun to be pretty awesome - I think he will be though. Overall, I don't see the SE being an "easy" division this season but I see the Caps taking their third straight SE Division title at the end of the day but not without a fight...
"remain competitive"? Huh...musta held the standings upside down.Atlanta might surprise some people--they certainly started playing well toward the end of the season--but they still have a shaky goaltending situation, and while they did address their needs this off-season, I'm not sure if Kubina and Antropov are the answers to their woes.I think Florida is still better, however. They've concentrated on nuturing their young offense, which started to pay off last year, and I'm not sure if their defense has slid at all by switching Bou for Leopold.
