Rocking the... Snuggie?

When the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA took the court against the Detroit Pistons last Friday, they did so as fans of the Cavs had their own fan participation moment in store that would make Caps fans proud that they "rock the red" in more conventional ways.  20,000 or so Cavs fans donned promotional Snuggies that they received in an effort to establish a world record for most people wearing them at one time...

Looks like some weird monk convention.  Self-respecting hockey fans would never be caught dead in an article of clothing called a "Snuggie," would they?

There is nothing soft or huggable about ice hockey. However, the new Capitals goal-scoring song is about as rousing as a Gregorian chant....

I am ashamed to say I actually own a Washington Capitals snuggie.

Identity witheld to protect the pathetic.
