Happy Birthday...from a few friends

Tomorrow will be a day celebrated across the hockey firmament, a day when bells will peal, choirs of heavenly angels will raise their voices, when all who worship at the altar that is hockey will give thanks.

For it is Sidney Crosby's 21st birthday.

We have it on good word that a few of his friends and admirers from the sport have offered their gifts in appreciation and celebration...

"Happy Birthday, Sidney...If I could, I'd give you the sun, the moon, and the stars."

Love,
Gary

"Here's a pair of boxing gloves...learn to fight, ya putz."

-- Andy F.

"These'll be the best wings you have this year."

Many Happy Returns,
Marian

"Here...they're to your own place...please, get out!"

Signed,
Ace

Dear Sidney,

I didn't want you to go blind from the glare of my four trophies and my world championship medal. Happy Birthday.

Your friend, Alex

P.S. I ordered you a pizza...and some chicken fingers...and some french fries...

What have I done?!

You might have heard of a certain contest underway...the "Puck Daddy Art Contest," to be exact. The theme is, "Gary Bettman -- Portraits in Heroism." The object of the exercise is to "depict Gary Bettman in a moment of true valor and heroism."

A tall order, indeed.

Well, we couldn't help ourselves. We sent in a few (one of which has been posted). And here they are, for what it's worth (your self respect, Peerless?)...
