When the preseason began, would you have thought...

-- That the Caps would score 20 goals, and Alex Ovechkin would have none of them?

-- That Ovechkin would lead the team in assists?

-- That Matt Hendricks would tie for the team lead in goals?

-- That Tyler Sloan would lead the team in penalty minutes?

-- That 34 skaters would dress over the six games and that only six would end up on the minus side of the ledger?

-- That the Caps would allow only three power play goals scored against them in the six games?

-- That the seven rookies the Caps dressed in the six games (Johansson, Eakin, Andrew Gordon, Perreault, Beagle, Bouchard, and Carlson) would go 5-7-12, plus-12?

-- That the Caps would get exactly one goal from a defenseman? (Green)

-- That even though the Caps tied for second in winning percentage, they had no one among the leaders in goals, assists, points, power play goals, shots, or shorthanded goals?

-- That the Caps would allow only seven even-strength goals in six games?
