The Greatest Concept...Ever

We were perusing Twitter yesterday and came across this nugget from Nate Ewell, former Director of Media Relations for the Caps and currently Director of Communications for College Hockey, Inc.:



I thought, "yeah, whatever...another corporate sponsor."  But then I read the press release and was struck dumb by this...

"Michigan area Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop restaurants will feature a special "Game Day Donut" every football Saturday throughout the season. The special Vanilla Dip donut is coated with green and white sprinkles."
"Game-Day Donuts?!"  Holy crap, whatta concept?  Could you imagine such a thing for the Caps?  Never mind the obvious hockey tie-in.  Caps Game-Day Donuts?  With white icing and blue and red sprinkles?  Sounds like a winner.  And then there are the other possibilities...

Weagle Wings... Sort of like "bear claws," but shaped like a "weagle" logo.

Knuble Blend Knoffee...hearty and robust, like a rugged winger.

Backstrom Bagels...the only hole in the middle is in the bagel, not on the ice.

Cuppa MarJo...Just the hot beverage you need for that quick pick-me-up

C'mon...tell me you don't Laich it.

awww...a dozen Weagle Wings....THAT is inspired. Can you picture the promotions? Every time the opposing team puts a donut on the scoreboard, a donut for the fans.
